To be a soulmate, does gender even matter?

Even if society condemns homosexuality, who are they to judge or have a say in anything that concerns someone else?
It's entirely up to the individual; if a boy happens to like another boy, or a girl happens to like another girl... then so be it
Reproductivity is not everything for some people, lol
